Winter Field Day 2024

p1050036

On January 27, 2024 the Cloud Peak Radio and Electronics Group gathered for Winter Field Day. We enjoyed good food, good company, and good propagation which allowed us to make contacts all around the world. The weather was nice for the time of year and many people came out to join in the fun. We made contacts on a variety of bands using three different radios, antennas, and modes.

New hams attending the event received a lot of encouragement and insight. The Elmers used their experience to help the newer hams get on the air and become more familiar with the equipment. Everyone went home with some useful knowledge from the experience.

Of course it would not be a proper club gathering without food! Between everyone there was an abundance of food including chili, a variety of cornbreads, and a collection of desserts.

A good time was had by all and we can’t wait to do it again next year!
